The _________ of this month, pavement maintenance will be taking place on your street.

Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. will be resurfacing your street on the day indicated above. If for any reason your street is not completed as scheduled it will be rescheduled for another day and you will be re-notified the day before.

The resurfacing will be done utilizing Cape Seal. This is a 2 STEP PROCESS. First Scrub seal will be applied after 2-4 weeks cure time Micro-surfacing will be applied.

These are extremely cost-effective resurfacing methods and are done primarily as a preventative maintenance measure to protect the streets surface from deterioration.  These processes also allow a new wearing surface and improves skid resistance which allows cars to stop in a shorter distance.

The pavement maintenance process is wet when placed and will take about 2-6 hours to set.  After starting DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR THROUGH BARRICADES OR OUT OF YOUR DRIVEWAY, WAIT UNTIL THE STREET IS OPENED!

If you walk or drive on the road surface before it sets, you will damage it and asphalt tar will get on your feet or car. Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. will not be responsible for any repair cost if you damage your property.

During the day when the pavement maintenance is placed, please note the following:

  1. Your street is one of several scheduled for this day.  Construction will start on your street any time between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  Once started there will be no vehicles allowed on the street until the barricades are removed.
  2. Please move all parked vehicles and debris from the street.  Please observe the “NO PARKING” signs.  Parked vehicles may be towed away if the owner cannot be located to move it.
  3. Please turn off your sprinklers for the first 24 hours after road is resurfaced. Nuisance water will damage and discolor the resurfacing material.
  4. The day following the first application (Scrub Seal), a street sweeper will be sweeping each street to pick up excess material left behind the previous day. If you could please keep the roadway clear the following day as well.

With your cooperation it will be possible to get this work done quickly and with minimum of inconvenience to all concerned.  If you need to use your car this day, please park it on a side street that does not have a “NO PARKING” sign on it prior to 8:00 AM
