Texas Music Friendly Communities Workshop


Stephenville, Texas, August 2, 2018- Join the Texas Music Office, the City of Stephenville, and the Stephenville music community for the “Music Friendly Communities” workshop on Tuesday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m. at T-Birds Garage at Melody Mountain Ranch to learn:

 What is the Texas Music Office’s “Music Friendly Communities” program?
 What does a “Music Friendly Communities” designation mean for Stephenville? What does it mean for Texas’ music industry as a whole?
 How do we begin to track the economic impact of Stephenville’s music community?
 What initiatives are being developed to help grow Stephenville’s music community?

“We invite music businesses, artists, students, teachers and radio stations located in the Stephenville area to attend this exciting workshop and learn how Stephenville can become a certified Texas Music Friendly Community,” said Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office. Other cities who have received certification are Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Denton. Cities that are currently working through the certification process are Dallas, Corpus Christi, and Lubbock.

For nearly 30 years, the Texas Music Office has served the Texas music industry. Its mission to create opportunity and connect businesses continues today. Their core functions are to serve as a clearinghouse for Texas music industry information, serve as a liaison between music businesses and government offices and agencies, publicize significant developments within the industry, and to attract essential music industry to foster the economic development of Texas music and musicians.
